Summer Glau - Cameron Phillips Terminator

Summer Glau (born July 24, 1981 in San Antonio, Texas) is an American dancer and actress, best known for her role as River Tam in the short-lived science fiction series Firefly and follow-up movie Serenity. She now appears on the Fox network TV series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles as Cameron Phillips.

Cameron Phillips (Summer Glau) is a Terminator sent back from the year 2027 to protect John Connor. Her model and exact capabilities have not yet been revealed. She can mimic human mannerisms better than the T-800 model, and consume food, a first for terminators.

Cameron Phillips is a fictional character portrayed by American actress Summer Glau in the science fiction television series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, a spin-off of the Terminator series of movies which began with The Terminator in 1984. First appearing on the television series in its 2008 pilot episode, within the series' narrative, Cameron is an unknown model of cyborg "Terminator". First appearing as a student attending the same high school as John Connor, she intervenes in an assassination attempt, revealing she had been sent by John's future self to be his bodyguard; she later assumes the identity of his sister.

The character's name is an homage by the show's producers to James Cameron, writer-director of the first two of Terminator movies. Within the series, Cameron fulfills the role of the good Terminator, much like Arnold Schwarzenegger's characters in the second and third Terminator movies. Possessing superhuman strength, speed and cognitive abilities, Cameron takes the most physical role during confrontations with other Terminators in the series.
